Alternatives to age related contracts of employment  

In October 2006, the UK will adopt the EU proposals on age discrimination, although they are intended to eradicate ageism in the workplace, they will also have implications for pensions. In a nutshell, the proposals will make it unlawful for employers to set a compulsory age for people to retire by (unless it can be justified in terms of the legislation).

This will have serious cost implications for schools employing older staff. We have identified this problem and can implement specific strategies to deal with this sensitive issue.
